    • Ensuring that the public is solicited on appointments to key boards and commissioners
    • Fixing the campaign finance website, so residents can see who is funding politicians
    • Bringing the Commissioners Court meeting in Precinct 3 and during the evening as opposed to 1 pm on work days
    • Establishing a Neighborhood Advisory Teams to stay connected with the community and county
    • Creating a Fort Bend 311 App, System,  and Fusion Center for residents to report issues and track their status

    • Combating animal cruelty in our community with Law Enforcement and community partners
    • Ensuring first time pet owners have more training and resources to take care of pets with support from local nonprofits, rescues, and groups to help mitigate financial burden on residents
    • Improve customer service at local animal shelter and increase amount of outreach events
    • Develop more partnerships with rescue groups to help improve adoption rates and relationships across the country
    • Improve county advocacy in animal welfare to work with the Texas Legislature to solve overall animal population and health issues affecting communities
    • Engage local businesses, HOAs, schools, and local partners to improve adoption rates
    • Utilize technology, social media, and traditional media to market the shelter pets for adoption even more
    • Work with LIDs, MUDs, Cities, HOAs, and other jurisdictional partners to develop more dog park space for residents
    • Create long term volunteer opportunities for high school students and community service organizations to partner with the shelter to help consistently and as needed

Fort Bend County in 2023 must adapt, evolve, and serve our growing and diverse community with modern solutions that reflect our needs because there is so much at stake for our families and generations to come.
